Samsung Might Rope in a New Battery Supplier for Galaxy S8 after Note 7 Debacle


After Note 7 debacle, Samsung is taking every step to ensure that the same might not happen in future. The latest rumour coming in, Samsung might ditch the battery supplier –China’s ATL for the latest Samsung Galaxy S8 to be launched later this month or early next month.

The new supplier coming in might be a Japanese company based out of NagaoKakyo, Kyoto Murata Manufacturing Works. If this news is true, it should not come as surprise as investigation into faulty Note 7 batteries issue revealed flaws in ATL battery units. Samsung’s decision to not officially release the Samsung Galaxy S8 at MWC 2017 is seen as following stringent quality checks after Note 7 recall.
